If you're using bass strings, viola & violin for example, EW themselves suggest using three instantiations of Play each on their own track.

Probably not a help to your session as described but Play seems a lot better when you only use a single patch in each instance. 4.2.2 is a lot more stable (still far from perfect though) but not sure you can use that with the Cloud licences. The new version of Play is having a few issues that EW are aware of. Pretty much everything that John has said. Maybe a future version will allow the split.woould be nice. I kinda thought the stand alone was the only to have both screens up. I'll keep working with it and noting the set up if the crash happens again. Also, I only had one Choir loaded when this happened. I had 3 instances of it: one with Choirs, one with Stormdrum2 and one with RA. In this case, I was only using Play, and not other VIs. Each Choir section needs it's own dedicated instance of PLAY, due to the fact that wordbuilder uses multiple MIDI channels to create words. Also, one common mistake with this product I see a lot is when people try to load other instruments in the same instance of PLAY, do not do this it will cause mayhem. The only way to see wordbuilder and the PLAY UI at the same time is to use the standalone version of wordbuilder, which will require some clever MIDI routing. This seems to help especially if you are using Kontakt. If so, try putting all PLAY inst tracks at the top of your session.
